How many views do I need to earn a commission?

Short answer

There is no such number, and anybody who gives you one is guessing. Views do not pay. Taps that turn into orders inside the attribution window pay. The question that can be answered is what you earned for every ten thousand views, in each place, on your own videos.

Why a views number cannot exist

Two videos with the same view count can pay completely differently, because there are three separate steps in between and each has its own rate.

Change one of the three and the answer changes. That is why a chart promising so much per thousand views is entertainment, not arithmetic.

  • Views to taps: depends above all on whether a link can be tapped where you posted at all.
  • Taps to orders: depends on the product and its price, not on your view count.
  • Orders to money: depends on returns, and on the window closing in time.

The number that does answer it

Commission for every ten thousand views, place by place, out of your own videos. It folds the three steps into one figure you can compare week to week, and it is yours instead of an average of somebody else's audience.

You have to measure this one yourself. The GPM that TikTok shows is gross merchandise value and not your commission, and the RPM that YouTube shows leaves affiliate income out of the calculation entirely.

What we will never tell you

We do not promise earnings, not on this page and not anywhere in the product. We measure what happened and show it with its date next to it. Anything else would be a number we invented.

What people actually ask

Is there a follower count you need before you can earn?

Followers are not what pays. Where they matter is access: TikTok wants a verified business account or a thousand followers before a link in your profile can be tapped at all.

Do the views of the same video on two places add up?

They count separately, in each place, and that is the point. The same video can pay very differently on two platforms, and only a number per place shows it.

Where this comes from

Official documentation only. Where we have no source, the page says we did not measure it.
