What is the best time to post on each platform?
Short answer
Every chart you have seen is an average of other people's audiences, and none of them measured yours. Use a public average to pick a first slot, then keep the hour your own clicks land in. Around eight videos on a place is usually enough to stop guessing.
What a public average is good for
Choosing a first hour when you have nothing of your own yet. That is the whole use. It is a fine place to start and a bad place to stay, because the hour that pays is the one when the people who follow you are awake and shopping.
When you see a public average here, the screen says so in those words, and it says we did not measure it.
When your own hour takes over
With eight videos or more on a place and at least one measured click, your hour is the one the product suggests, and it tells you how many videos it came from. A suggestion with no sample size behind it is a horoscope.
The hour is not the secret
Timing helps and it is not where the money is. Two things move more: whether a link can be tapped where you posted, and whether the order lands inside the attribution window. We are not going to sell you an hour as if it were income.
What people actually ask
Should a video go out at the same time everywhere?
- A video goes out to all its places at once, and only splits up when one platform has no room left that day. The gap that matters is between two of your own videos on the same place, not across platforms.
How many posts a day is too many?
- Ten a day per account is our ceiling whatever the plan says, with a ninety minute gap on the same place by default. Bursts are how a platform decides an account is a robot.
